Royal City Studios recently learned that some students were having trouble with the cost of our rehearsal studios. So, we came up with a special discount to ensure students can continue to rehearse at Royal City Studios.

From now on, students enrolled in and attending full-time programs get 50% off small studio prices at Royal City Studios.

Now just to be clear, this is a standing discount, meaning the discount does not expire at some future point. So long as you’re a full-time student, you qualify for 50% off small studio prices at Royal City Studios.

To put this in dollars, our small studios (for 1-3 people) normally go for $19.99 per hour, but students get small studios for just $9.99 per hour, fully equipped with drums, amps, and PA gear. All you do is walk in, plug in, and play. Drummers just need to bring their sticks and cymbals. If you don’t have cymbals, ask us about our rental set. (They’re pretty sweet.)

Water and refreshments are available on site, and washrooms are gender-neutral and fully accessible.

Here’s how to get your student discount online:

  • Visit https://royalcitystudios.ca/account in your browser of choice.
  • Log in with your email address or Facebook, or sign up for a new account.
  • Once you’re logged in, select “Your Profile.” (If you’re creating a new account, you can skip this step.)
  • Select “Yes” for the question, “Are you currently attending school full time?”
  • Click “OK.”
